Just wondering how peoples referrals have been in the last month, since mine have died completely for the first time in a year or more, even though I’ve got the same promotions as usual. Also Analytics seems a bit funny, showing stuff like 0 views on items after they’ve only been online 1 day. So are other authors finding everything is all good and normal? 8-)

Everything seems ok to me, I had a record number of referrals and deposits last month and so far looks like I’m on track for another record too :)

I guess it’s just the usual ups and downs you get then, just thought I would check. :)

1201 Clickthroughs | 8 Registered Members | 4 Deposits | $22.20

These were my referrals for the month of September. 22$ for 4 deposits is too little, considered the amount of time (=money) spent on advertising.

I’ll try the referrall program for another year, if it doesnt get any better i’ll just stop it. Not worth it, 30% for all the time spent advertising everywhere is just not worth enough.

It should be at least 50% of the first deposit/purchase, just like the Exclusive Author rate.

I think 30% is plenty, especially when you could be receiving the deposit + a sale.

The affiliate program makes ok money for me each month, but if you know the tricks of the trade, I know Authors who’re taking home thousands per month from simply referring customers.

Can you give me the name of these authors, even in a private message if publicily is not possible. I’ve invested lot of time, effort, and even money, on the affiliate advertising, and so far i’ve gained nothing, barely got back what i’ve invested. Im using SEO , targeted advertising, and everything that i know of, but apparently it’s not enough for. Either im very unlucky, which i doubt, or there are better tricks to use which i dont know.

Unfortunately I don’t think they’d appreciate me spilling their private details to people.

I myself refer over 200 people per month which results in a great piece of bonus income with little effort on my part, using istes like Flickr, DeviantArt, PSD Bucket, etc all sites which are free too…

You may be investing lots of time, money and effort in your promotions, but if it’s invested into the wrong places it won’t pay off.

There are websites that simply collect links to all new items automatically via the Marketplace API and then add their own referrals to the links

Yah, I wouldn’t recommend this though

Sorry about my question, but how the referrals work in DeviantArt for example? Maybe I didn’t understand the referral system quite well. I added in my site 3 Envato marketplace logos with link to the main page of every marketplace. I have about 35 clicks per month only and no one registered member. How can I use referral link in DeviantArt and where to add it ?
