Thanks for the reply fifty, but what mark are you referring to ? To be honest I didn’t find anything related to how a submission should be, neither did the email back state anything of that sort. It’s hard to believe that all the authors who have submitted logos use custom made fonts.

A lot of Logotypes are slightly modified from their original typeface. So it was probably rejected because it has little added value from just being an example of a use of a typeface. I know that sounds harsh, but does it make sense now?
Actually I an just see an incredibly faint semi-circle now and I can see that there is a concept behind the logo. I only just noticed this after multiple views. I still think it needs work though.

I like the general concept, especially with the “V” and the scoop of ice cream on top.
I think the main part that lowers the quality of your logo/submission to creattica is actually the vignetted background. It distracts too much attention away from the actual logo resulting in less impact for your logo. Also, on a minor point, that vignetted background is actually superimposed on top of the logo (or your logotype is transparent). Either way, be sure to put your logotype in the foreground. Finally, consider that with all that text, the logo is actually quite verbose. You could try some variations without the tag line included. Hope those observations help.
There is a tiny bit too much spacing between the V and the a, and the font size for the slogan is too large. But that’s it. Like Scott said, try a version without the vignette.

When someone puts there hard work out there for feedback we should try to provide constructive criticism, or else it’s not very helpful.
+1 on trying it without the vignette.
One thing I’ve noticed about you new is that any time you feel the need to post your critiques, you always end up putting people down. Quit putting people down. You come off as arrogant and pompous.
Makes sense motionreactor, but the fact is (this goes to everyone who replied regarding the wierd gradient back), my original submission did not have such a distinct vignetted background (or atleast i think so), i did’nt really want to put the original version but here it is.
Thanks all for the feedback.

You’re probably one of the types that can’t help being the way you are so no offence taken
