Does it make sense?

When I output category with this : <?php echo get_the_term_list( $post?>ID, ‘slider_cats’, ’’, ’, ’, ’’); ?>

It give me all the category of that custom post type but it’s a link, I dont want link .. just text ..

$the_term = get_term_by(‘id’, $my_term->term_id, ‘portfolio-category’);

Hell. You can remove the href with jquery.

Hell. You can remove the href with jquery.

Please don’t do such things with JQuery unless it’s a necessary must-have with no other solutions, this can create such a mess.

Another maybe a little less messy solution is to use cursor:default; in css to fool the user that there is no link at all …

To return the categories of a single post as plain text I use this:

$post_categories = get_the_terms($post->ID, 'Portfolio Categories');

foreach ($post_categories as $category) {
       echo $category->name);
}

To output all terms of a particular category as plain text I use this:

$categories = get_terms( 'Portfolio Categories' );

foreach ($categories as $cat ) {
    echo $cat->name;
}
