* Do you use the sidebar (New Threads), the homepage forum threads, or the /forums homepage to find stuff to read? Most commonly I use the homepage tab of forum threads, then just look at the New Threads tab. Very rare use the /forums homepage to find stuff.
* Do you go into different categories and choose threads?Sometimes.
* Do you use the RSS feeds? No.
* Are there any forum features you wish we had?Email support might be handy if there’s an important topic.
The search might be improved as well. There might be more options for search (title only, text and title etc) like on BB forums.
Maybe an editor for pasting code or somehow remove the smilies from code
and format it.
* Are there any forums you use which you find more usable – easier to get around, easier to find stuff to read and discuss, etc.I like the simplicity of our forum, only search might be improved.
* Are there any visual design things you think could be improved (e.g. the Reply button isn’t obvious … that sort of thing)As for design – again, its simple and the colors are not annoying (I mean if there would be bright colors, it might get the attention away of topics and be tiring for eyes).
Thanks guys, any help/suggestions/feedback is very much appreciated!!You are welcome, Collis! Good luck with new design! We are anticipating it:)

and the search … the search is a real mess right now. Both in the forums and in the site.

There should be a button that says Write Code and when you press it then it inserts
<pre></pre>tags and puts the cursor between them, then people will get that they should use them… it should prolly be a little more noticeable than the Pastie link is.
Though just making the forums posting text box into a WYSIWYG editor would solve that too…

+1 for advanced search plus following features would be really nice;
Finding all posts made by a user
Finding all threads started by a user
Last post made by a user
Rich text editor
Online / Offline indicator
Allowing to preview the comment before posting may also be a good choice (Just like we do while uploading the files).
Online / Offline indicator
I would like to change that to Online / Offline / “This user’s online status is private” indicator

I think we should just use the standard phpBB or SMF (http://www.simplemachines.org/). They are free/open source and you can customize them to look however you want.
http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/
would be perfect here.
