Virtualbox is a open source alternative to VMware. So you could partner it up with IE Tester.

Now I’m wondering if you can run IE tester natively on a Mac using the method that Jeffrey Way used to run IE 6 ?

I haven’t found a better way than using VMware, but even that just bogs down my computer everytime I start it up. So, I just got an old ass PC and threw it in the corner of the room ;-) If you’re working on MAMP on your mac, it’s pretty easy to see the website then on any computer hooked up to your local network (meaning the old crappy PC in the corner).

Are you talking about the whinebottler thing? That allows you to install IE7 and IE6 natively on your mac but it doesn’t run javascript. So it’s kind of pointless, I think.
