I need an English word for this kind of food. In our Country we have a special one word for this kind of food, but when I tried google translator, it translate it as “savory”, but after I put savory in google search it looks like it is some kind of flower.

Can You help me to name it?

Thank You

In the Netherlands, we’d call it what would translate literally to ‘Bites’. I guess Dzinc is right – ‘appetizers’ would be a correct English term here :)

I can solve this for you as no one has actually called them the right word yet.

They are called “canopies” officially but people would call them finger food as well but is best as “canopies”

Just google “canopies food”

^ Absolutely accurate, it’s a type of hors d’oeuvre, but most people say it without recognizing its correct spelling and french origin. In english through, I’d simplify it and go with appetizers.
