Hey guys, I saw this image online today and I wanted to know how to get your materials to look like this in Cinema 4D.

To be more specific, how is it a different shape instead of the default sphere? Just curious.

Thanks for any help!

You just have to enter your material editor, click on any of your materials, then right click on the “avatar” of the material (in the default case a sphere) and select Object2 from the dropdown menu. You have more options there, including a cube with rounded edges, a cilinder and so on and so forth. Enjoy.

P.s: I noticed you posted via 3DOCEAN… and only then I remembered the connection between C4D and 3DOcean. So sorry for the double post, but please tell me, how can I actually get on that? I am rather more into 3D modelling than anything else. Thanks!

If you plan to submit files to 3docean, just send support a message and they’ll send you an invite. But right now it isn’t open to the public. Just testers and 3D authors. Good luck!

@OT:

Keep 3D related threads on the 3DO forums. No need for this to be in the global section imo.
