Hey guys,

Here’s the situation. I have quite a few email addresses for various websites (setup in cpanel on the domain). Currently I manage these via Outlook on my main computer. The problem is, I can’t check my email anywhere else other than on this computer.

(I understand I could setup Outlook and all the email accounts on other computers, but that’s not practical as emails downloaded on that computer, stay there.)

I’m looking for an email solution that would allow me to access my emails anywhere on the go. What would you guys suggest?

Thanks

I don’t download emails – I use IMAP accounts, so all my emails (both sent and received) are stored on the server. I can access them from any computer using an email client or some webmail.

Hey Chris,

I think you can setup gmail to receive mails from other email accounts as long as they support POP . This way you can check them from anywhere.

+1 You can also set up gmail to reply from those accounts. I’ve got way too many email addresses but I control them all from a central gmail account so it works great :)

That’s exactly how I do it, but I use IMAP , not POP .

IMAP only syncs with the server to show you the emails, it doesn’t store them locally. It’s better this way, because, if you’re not at your computer, you can simply login to Gmail. And if you have too many Gmail accounts and often use multiple machines, that’s what Firefox Sync is for :)
