We currently run a partnership here on Envato marketplaces and we didn’t really know eachother before setting it up. We both have access to the account and all other aspects of the partnership, which is the only real way of doing it, in my opinion, if it is to be an equal partnership.

You need to trust each other and so choosing the right partner is important. Obviously you can’t know someone very well before you work with them, but a partnership here is not a one off thing, it will last for many months / years and so if one member of the team is untrustworthy it will turn out soon enough.

I trust that 99.99% of authors here are honest people. I set up a few partnerships and it never gone wrong , so don’t worry.

Can’t say fully trust some buyers though .. never send them the work before final payment based on trust just because they are envato marketplaces buyer :P but most of them are great too

Me and Sebastian found each other through ThemeForest forums. We both have access. We both have access to financial data. It was blind trust. It is working out really well and we’re ready to work on a second and third theme together.

Hi cooledition, It is nice to see a “compatriota” here in Envato market. I am from Costa Rica too and I’ve always wanted to sell some templates in Themeforest, I am working on my first one. I hope you can find the right person for your project. Maybe I can help you with the code too :) I am very good in web design, html, css and a little of wordpress (I am learning).

See you around, Karol V

That’s why you don’t pick someone who randomly e-mails you. You either go with a well-known author that has sold $10,000+ on Envato, who has a rep around these parts, is active, communicates with other authors, etc so at least you have some reassurance that this person won’t “steal” your account with however much money because there’s the chance that they could lose all of their hard work.

As far as trust goes just look for someone who is active in the Envato community on CodeCanyon. Someone who is regular in the forms, helps others, and has a good number of portfolio items and sales.

If you are looking for a coder I would be interested, let me know!
