This is how we manage everything:

What tools do you use? Excel? One of those web based services?

Have you found a system that does everything you need in the one place? Or do you have to use multiple products?

I use Freshbooks and its freeeeeeeeee :)

You can delete and undelete clients as you wish so unless you have like 10+ clients constantly needing to login etc then you can juggle them around (free account allows 3 active clients at any one time) :)

Might try that out. I’m using Thunderbird to manage my projects. And pen and paper :P It’s like a chaos here! Ah well. When I’m done with most of the work I will start going to use some tool like this one. :) Thanks.

That Webitor looks good!
I currently use:

ZOHO
(what I like about it is that I have a client that only processes excel invoices and I don’t have to have excel on my machine to do the invoice)
It also has a bit of everything, but it neglects the aspect of collecting royalties.

I also use Slife
to track my time, there’s a free download somewhere for Mac.

I started off usingCollabtive, but I, erm, locked myself out and couldn’t get back in – so I trashed it. If I want Project management I can just use the one that ZOHO has and let someone else be the IT department.

I’m using Paymo Free version. But I’m so new with it that I can’t say much about yet. Huge plus is that it provides online and desktop time trackers.
