Hey fellow authors, just wondering how do you name your themes. Is there any constraints such as small names, alphabetic, or funny / catchy stuffs…etc. What’s your preference? Seems like most of the cool theme names are already taken on the forest :) Any more ideas? Let’s discuss.

Make sure the name is not already taken, recently reviewers started to reject/disable items for this reason. Then it’s the marketing perspective. Good luck.

That’s an important info. Thanks for sharing. So it is time to invent unique words for next item :)

Fun thread! :) I’d have a look at your music library. Just open iTunes / Rdio, lot’s of songtitles have some cool words in it.

Cheers!

Once an item discussion thread was opened where a guy asked for feedback for his theme called “Wiener” – he meant the German word for a person living in Vienna but people clarified this to him soon enough :)

Don’t all just pick a cheesy Italian word with no apparent meaning? :tired:

Always do search a of your desired theme name here on TF because deciding upon it :)

Reviewers should also do a search of the theme name first as I noticed yesterday a wordpress theme was approved with a name which was already taken by another wp theme a long ago ;)

Obviously, uniquely named themes will be better remembered by users, means more chance for a purchase when they are back after a while. A really cool name will be equally effective like a bookmark feature when users are concerned. Let the names be easily remembered :) (tough to get such nice names though)
