I’m curious about how the Elite authors promote their themes approved in TF?
I mean, did you invest in ads like Google adWords, use referals… or what is your strategy.
I think the key is just providing good stuff and don’t care about promotion.

Google adWords – does not allow ads with “referral links”.
But I noticed that some authors use Google AdWords and BuySellAds to promote their blog where they have themes for sale here on Themeforest and other usefull articles/freebies.
@Vasterad: my doubt is about how can a customer find your theme inside a crowded marketplace and be successfully getting more and more customers quickly.
Thanks for your comment, Mateusz.

By referal links I mean separate: ads or referals. not both.

I could not agree more!
Of course, have a great item is the main factor. But, what about the marketing?
Webthemer saidAgree. If you are good enough to make an item which gets featured, you have free publicity for you.

There’s also one thing which you need to know. A lot of the buyers here are actually web designers / developers, so if your item is good, they will buy it again for their next project.

This is very true. I would say almost all buyers in the TF section do web design themselves to some degree. It’s hard to pass up some of these designs, even if you could make it yourself. They do a great job of keeping the quality good.
I’ve bought a few web design templates, but have only used one or two. Sometimes I just need one for no reason at all.
