We have recently started selling over activeden after purchasing a couple of very useful files last year. Uploaded couple of forms to start with and just get a hang on how it actually is and works here at activeden. I have been visiting the forums lately and found this community to be very active and interesting at the same time and look forward to becoming an active member myself.
At the moment i had a little query and could not find much regarding how you can update an existing items title? you can change the item description or update the files but how about the title? Pardon me if this has been discussed before but i have not been able to find anything on this. I contacted Envato support but got reply “I’m not 100% sure if you are able to edit it, but I’ll find out.” and asking me to provide the new title, however nothing happened on that front and i got no response thereafter. So just wanted to ask you guys if anyone managed to change it? and if yes how?.
Thanks and i look forward to joining you guys at the forums.
Go to the edit page of your file and use the message box for the reviewer… ask him to change the title for you… that’s should be the way…
Thanks Parker for pointing that out. Just did that and hopefully it will get updated soon.
Interestingly i found that it’s the item title which is responsible for search results not sure how much the tags help. I missed a important word in the title thinking its already there in the tags and their really is no need of a repitition, however, from what i see on search that’s the most important text as i do not see my item in search for that keyword. Or is there something else to it? what do you all think?
