How do you do it?
Also if using pdf files , how do you create them (what software) ?

I’ve not made any files that required extremely long help files.. most of my applications are small enough to explain in a txt file ;)

I use msoffice 2007 word and distribute as a doc. PDF had jagged edges on the font, dunno why.

I use illustrator and indesign. My files are usually designed in Illustrator so I have a lot of source material I can reuse. In the end I want the user to be able to print a manual if needed.
