Here is a little background. Over the summer, I gave myself one week to make a new site, from start to finish. I decided to make a Facebook like website. I mean, my name is sorta cheesy, the design is pretty childish, but it was sorta just for fun.

Anyways, I was really hoping for this project to get really popular since the whole “like” thing is a huge trend right now. Well, that didn’t happen. The only views / likes I get are when my dearest friends go to the site or some /b/tard decides it would be funny to post stuff about… well, I’m not going to say it.

I’ll cut to the point. One Facebook, I saw a lot of people liking stuff from one particular website. And, I clicked the link since I was curios. Well, the domain name was shocking. http://10163bh58.halb7.tk/

I don’t understand how a site like that can get more traffic then mine. I have everything that the other site has, except mine isn’t littered with ads. Both sites, mine and the other, don’t advertise. How did this one manage to beat mine? You can’t even remember the domain name to get to it, and I would leave instantly because of the mass amounts of ads.

So here is the question: Please explain to me how this is even possible. How do shitty sites beat somewhat better ones? And what should someone do to get more legitimate traffic without advertising?

And no, I’m not looking for pity and I’m not self promoting.

Thats quite clever how they do what they do !

Not something I am keen on, nor would I use. But in todays, lets cram up the internet with utter shite, it seems befitting that the particular site you mention does it so well
