Recently I’m visited a Code Canyon marketplace item.
I’m surprised. The product owner is published the item on November 4th, 2013.
But this product first comment is posted on 20 days ago.
How it’s possible. Please clarify my doubt.
Thanks in advance.
This product might be soft rejected or removed for sometime after it’s first approval due to some reasons and then re-uploaded and approved.
- Sold between 10 000 and 50 000 dollars
- Author had a File in an Envato Bundle
- Most Wanted Bounty Winner
- Russian Federation
- Has been a member for 2-3 years
- Exclusive Author
- Referred between 10 and 49 users
- Bought between 10 and 49 items
- Grew a moustache for the Envato Movember competition
Yes, for example I have few soft rejected items for months. I just checked – opened one old soft rejected item and wrote comment. If I decide to update it and if it got approved then my comment will be older than approval/release date.
Best Regards, Andrey
I understand, Thank you very much for your answers.
This product suffered an unjustified dmca and was taken down two days after its release. Because the author asked to have the product back in homepage when everything was sorted out, im guessing staff changed the creation date via database to achieve this.
An already well established author filed the DMCA tried in an attempt to use it in an anti-competitive / monopolistic fashion to keep newer legitimate author out of a niche market. The relatively quick turnaround on this injustice was commendable. Congrats to Envato for quickly seeing this for what it was and taking decisive action!
