2 months > THEME SUPPORT
Yes coding a wordpress in 2 days is great ! I usually need one to two weeks to transform a HTML template to a WordPress theme, but yes that really depends on the framework you choose. I recently switched to SMOF (Slightly Modified Option Framework), and i think that it’s really nice, easy to implement and full of many nice features.

Lol… so true
Wow, it takes me a very long time compared to you, but I think it depends on the fact I’m still working on the framework, page builder etc… I hope to become as fast as RubenBristian very soon, but I agree: the support for the old themes and the documentantion for each new theme are a really big effort
Approximately 5 weeks. I just create a rough sketch on Photoshop and start coding right away. I know this is not the right way, but it’s the only that works for me. And yes, theme support usually takes at least the first 2 weeks after release

Personally i do not think there is a right or wrong way, some may argue that design first in photoshop and code after but some people on here have some amazing templates for sale and they dont design at all on Photoshop.
I think the only right way is to do what drives the best results for you!
do you usually use wireframing tools ?
For a high end theme for a site like Themeforest, I take around 14 weeks.
It’s all great guys! But how long did it actually take you to code your first theme ? I am a designer working with my developer on our first theme and it’s our 8th week now. I think it will take us around 10-11 weeks total to finish our first theme. Is it long ? .

I don’t think it’s too long, it depends on the features of the theme…
