Probably it’s pretty silly question but is Envato going to be closed for just reviewing items or completely closed so we won’t sell our items until 2 Jan 2014?
Off course the shop system will work :) but Support & Other services (like reviewing..) will not work.
Are you shure? In the letter was written that Envato close up Shop.

They won’t close the marketplaces, but it wasn’t correct grammar / wording to use in the email probably, especially if it went out to buyers also (not sure). It does give the wrong impression for sure.

Lol, obviously they aren’t closing the websites. Support is closed until 2th January, the marketplaces will run as usual. Where do you saw someone to close their website during holidays or free days?

“We’ll be pretty much shutting shop from 24 Dec to 2 Jan 2014…” this phrase is misleading a bit

The wording “pretty much shutting shop” is very Australian, so it makes complete sense to me :)

Shutting shop just implies no one will be in the Envato offices. Expect everything else to run as per normal (ie the website, forums etc).

edit: ps. Im sure there will be people in the office but it will be whats called a ‘skeleton’ crew. Probably answering local calls etc, don’t expect emails or support tickets to be replied to though. That’s pretty standard for business to do.

Nailed it! :D

There will be different people gone for different times throughout the holiday season, but we’ll be running the sites as normal. Thanks!

Would the users be able to buy templates while this time?
