Hi, as some of you already know im working on a new project. I wanted you to suggest me, how many placeholders should i use ?! What will be more comfortable for the user ?!
Thanks in advance,
The more you have, the more flexible it is for the user of course. But that doesn’t mean you’ll sell more.
For a first project, maybe start off with 8 or so and see how it goes. More placeholders mean more work, longer previews etc.
If there’s a desire to extend the project from your buyers, you can always add more placeholders and update the file.
In fact a good way to start is to think of a duration, find the right piece of music and go from there. Standard lengths seem to be 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 40 seconds and 1 minute.
Structuring the project so the user can easily adapt the duration / edit is also a very good idea.
Hi Felt, Thanks for the comment =) It is not my first one already Do you suggest to create a few versions ?! I mean on version of 40 seconds one version of 50 seconds and one version of one minute… Like this for example. Do you think it can work ?!
Sorry, dude… I’ve been pretty tied up with stuff the last few weeks, so haven’t managed to check everything that’s been coming in!
No… I’d recommend you decide on one fundamental length and go with that. I have sometimes produced a shorter version too, to show how retimeable a project is, then included it in the preview and the download.
It is ok man, i can understand that you are busy !
If there is 8 placeholders for e.g so the user have to use all of them right ?! I mean he can use 6 instead of 8. M i right ?!
That all depends how you structure your project. It’s always best to allow the user flexibility.
