my first appartment when i lived in myrtle beach south carolina usa i was paying 1,250.00 per month its 1bedroom appartment not includeing any power, cable, water etc

Ouh my god!

In Serbia with 1250$ you can live like a boss.

I am going to school in Valjevo (100 km away from the capital – Belgrade) and there you can find place for 100/150 euros ( 130-200$ ), and with rest aprox. 1000 $ you can live LIKE A BOSS!

If you include all the bills.. No, no you can’t.

Last year I lived in Budapest (Hungary) with my girlfriend and we were living in a 2 bedroom apartment with ~110sqm (huge!) and we paid $450/month. This was above average, as you can find nice smaller apartments for ~$350 or less.

In Vienna (Austria – just 300km from Budapest) an apartment with the same size would cost for sure +$1500 :D

Right now we’re searching for an apartment in Porto (Portugal) and rents for a 1 bedroom apartment cost around $500.

I guess the rule of the rent not being more than 30% of your income is a good rule.

Eh, my girlfriends family(of 4) is living with 20.000 RSD a month, and my family used to live with less. My point was – 1250$ is nice, but it’s not that ‘special’ considering that most of it goes on bills.

Also shenanigans! I’m renting a decent looking apparment(
75sqm) for 250e in center of Belgrade, Vracar.. :P
