I’m just curious if other theme developers tend to notify your buyers upon every update – or only for larger/more complex updates.

I tend to notify on larger updates with new features, only. But I guess that fixing a major bug calls for a notification as well, since you’d want your buyers to update.

Yea. I guess finding the happy medium is ideal. As to not annoy buyers with updates.

Major Updates are always ticked. But buyers are not using this feature. If that option is ticked by default this is good feature. Most of customers asking related our theme questions, problems then this must be using older version etc :(

Thanks.

No need to notify my customers since we have theme auto update and notify embeded in our themes. Everybody is just a click away from the latest version :)

Update notification comes from WP admin an each time a fresh version released. My customers just have to make an one click for getting the latest version of theme.
