I am a developper with no taste in colors, i choose very odd colors. I just want to know any tools or tuts that will help me choose better color combinations for theme colors.

Please dont say kuler i tried it. and help me with this. The great theme developpers will have their color secret reveal it for me here. :)

Find a picture that you think has some good colours/tones and using the colour picker tool, start picking some colours out of it.

This is also a good website http://colorschemedesigner.com/ if you want to create colour schemes.

Choice of colour scheme 100% depends on your template mood and concept. Colours which might fit vintage style template will never fit well some flat business style, or this one… which is in fashion now… metro?-if I am not mistaken.

Hence Jaynesh’s advice is really useful, first choose the topic and temper of your template, than choose main image which illustrates/dominates your template and than pick up the colours out of this image.

I think you need to take a designer by your side. It will be hard to deliver high quality designs if you lack the taste for colors, to begin with.
