As long as you were not living under a rock you would have come across the new look iOS, many of you have shared your thoughts here : http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/wwdc-apple-keynote-2013/100419

What I would like to see see is how you would change this design to something you think will look and feel good on an iPhone. Lets just stick to the home screen with the given set of icons for now. I would appreciate it if general discussions is continued in the thread mentioned above and just post your submissions in here.

Yeah, until the hardware also gets abused by Apple, iPhone is still better. It sounds the hardware suicide will happen for Apple by 2014.

Apple announced they are redesigning many of the icons in iOS7 on their website.

Thank god! that first set was just plain ugly, not at all how flat design should be done.

This is the path that Apple should take if they want at least keep their reputation. I know, they still are the best in user experience, but the design is ugly. The Flat trend highlight the importance of the content and the usability, but from my point of view, it sacrifices too much of the details. The solution is to make a UI “almost flat”. The translucency is awesome, but the new icons don’t. A little bit of shadows and highlights make everything look a little more professional.

^ Since Apple already showed something to the public, it would be hard to maintain consistency especially after revisions. Also they took the risk of not-so-visible “blue” icons, instead of grey which going to make them either work-work-work on other elements of every screen or just relax and assume that this blue is a neutral color than black. If they continue similar decisions on hardware side, I see a bright future for Samsung! :D

A few months ago I switched from my Lumia to iPhone, the final thing that made me get an iPhone was the design which was better than Android in my opinion, but seeing what they’ve come up with… probably my next phone will be a Samsung, unless the final version will actually contain a decent design.
