Hi guys and sorry if my question is stupid, but I am desperate! I created a simple html file on my windows powered system using Dreamweaver and now my client on a Mac system can’t open it. Well in fact she can open it, but it fills her page with funny characters. I don’t have experience with Mac, so my question is this: is it possible that the .html I created on the pc needs to be converted so that it is recognizable on the mac?

Thanks for your time!

No, it’s not possible. What program your client uses to open the file?

Maybe the file was created with rich text editor somehow?

Thanks for responding!

I used Macromedia Dreamweaver and then she used Dreamweaver also, but a higher version than I have.

Now she is using something else, I just asked her and I am waiting for a response.

Is it possible that this is happening from the difference in versions?

What kind of “funny characters” is she seeing?

Maybe something related to the encoding?

Sounds like something related to encoding to me, double check that you saved it as an HTML file.
