Hi Guys, I was just wondering if you were allowed to use HTML in your track descriptions, I have noticed some tracks have code in them, but I recently submitted a track with html in the desc. and once approved the code was removed?
Any help much appreciated. Thanks
Jonny
Don’t put code into your submission. You can go to the track page then go to the Edit tab and ammend your description with code. Hope that helps
Hello! Yes, I am sure you can… i.e. for linking to other tracks in your portfolio. I have. I have only done this after submission though and not during review – when you edit the description I don’t even think it is reviewed. What did you write… must have been dodgy!
I’ve always added basic HTML to the track descriptions before submission, and haven’t had a problem so far with it being removed etc.
Just a thought, but maybe it depends on the amount or type of HTML tags being used, or if the reviewer can see it being potentially problematic.

Same here.
Thanks guys, I just added images and links to my collections. Nothing else. I will try adding after submission and see. Nice one.
Yes, it’s allowed. But the thing is, in order to retain layout of each page, some HTML tags are disabled, you can’t use them, they won’t have any effect. For example, there’s no way to center your text.
So maybe this happened to you…?
Edit: ah, okay, images and links should be okay… But be sure not to link to some outside source, especially not to advertise freebies, I believe those are not allowed.
Turns out it works instantly if I add the html after the tracks been accepted.. sweet. Thanks.
Hey guys, do you all know about/use the “Envatitor?”
If not, give it a try. I use it as a greasemonkey script in Firefox and it’s a big help in formatting/previewing item pages.

Thanks for pointing us to this Basspartout. Never knew about this. Using it right now in fact.
