I was wondering, are HTML Templates restricted to no more than $15? And if not, what would it take for something to get a higher pricing than that, what kind of things might need to be included?
I’ve seen some really great HTML templates on here that IMO are worth much more than $15, being right alongside ones that are $12/10 that arent anywhere near as good and include very few things. It just seems like some of the ones that are pushing the bar could be priced a little higher than $15, some reaching $18, $20 even perhaps.
EDIT : Ok i didnt realise the Business Professional Package was $20, but thats the only one higher than 15, perhaps some more should slip in to 18’s
Hm, I think you’re right. It would be great to have a checklist for templates to compare and to estimate how much the template will costs.
Yea I think the pricing is a bit low of some of these. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of them are $12 templates. Some are just so much better though.
I just posted a WordPress theme and it was priced at $15, seems a bit low for my tastes but I know I agreed to let them price it when I submitted it.
Yes you agreed the terms but you can contact the support to in/decrese the price.
We’ve decided that $10 – $15 is the target selling price for site templates. We could increase the prices to $25 – but you would not make as much over all.
But, of course, we’ll continue to review pricing over the coming months. But for now, we’re trying to keep the prices at $10-15. ...$20 if the template is just exceptional.
You should include the max-price somewhere. I didn’t knew that.
I feel like any decent WordPress theme should easily be more pricey than a plain HTML template. Pricing HTML templates and WordPress templates in the same range just seems wrong and doesn’t reflect the extra work that went into and the extra benefits of having a template tied into a CMS .
You’re right but I think 15$ for a very good html-template is to less.
