I enjoy looking at the html templates here but I think after looking at them for a while they seem to begin to look somewhat alike from one to the next. I would like to see something similar to this design – http://www.e-nature.com.mx/home.html I recognize my example is flash, but I prefer html.

I think the way it showcases the product is very dominant and I like the way the navigation is off to the side with the copy directly below rather than the navigation sprawled across the top of the pages. Anyone happen to be working on something similar??

That’s partly because ThemeForest tends to lean towards accepting the cookie-cutter header, slider, sidebar, content, footer site styles. I can kind of understand that, as that is what seems to sell well, but at the same time, there are lots of people who like more unique templates that stand out.

For example, I really like doing minimalist work, but anytime I try to submit something like that, I get rejected, with the reason being that the template doesn’t offer enough options, or is too simple. But that’s the point! It’s supposed to be simple! :)

Although I can understand TF wanting to keep the inventory “popular”, it’s a shame for those of us who want something different (or even simple).

Can we have our own section TF??

You have to understand the more niche/unique the theme/template is the narrower the market, and just isn’t cost effective to produce to only sell 15-20 times.

And I’ve also seen many items sell much less than that…

Yep. It all comes down to demand. The site you referenced is sort of neat, I guess, but how many people have a need for that style of template? Very few. So that doesn’t leave much incentive for our authors to build such themes.
