Next to composers icon there are avatars. For example the cat paw showing how much they have sold, and a person with a $ sign by it showing how many items they have bought.
My question is why would a composer want to buy another composers songs? Are they buying it here and selling it at another place under their name?
You get that icon from buying anything on the various different marketplaces.
You can buy a website template from themeforest, a video intro from videohive, and a logo from graphicriver. Then you’re all set to get your business up and running
Or a sound effect to use in a track…
Or possibly a track of a completely different style than the author produces.
My icon is from buying the 2010 Birthday Bundle because it seemed like too good a deal to pass up.
If an author were to buy a track here and sell it on another marketplace, besides being utterly contemptable on many levels, it would be a short lived venture and a very risky one in terms of potential legal action. As a non-exclusive author, I post my songs to many sites and each one of them requires you to agree that the work you’re posting is completely your own. At the very least, any marketplace that found that one of their “authors” was posting anothers’ work would drop that member like a bad habit.
Yes, simply put, if I buy a website template from themeforest, the budge will show up that I have “Bought between 1 and 10 items”.
If I need soundtrack for video, but I don’t have music in the necessary style – I buy it on stock.
If I need AE project, I buy it on stock.
If I need photos, I buy it on stock.
If I need site template, I buy it on stock.
I hope, it is not so difficult for understanding.
Or, your account might get hacked and the money in your account could be used to buy some meaningless stuff from Codecanyon. So you would end up with that buyer’s badge.
Never say never. Check out my badge
Or if you want to make a gift to a favourite author – buy his track (for example for me )
I buy photo’s, site templates and other good stuff with the credits I get from music sales. There’s a perfect relationship in that. Love it!
