Agree, we all have different time! I have breakfast or slip at my local time. Why then i have to get withdrawal or new week populars on the envato marketplace or other events per AU time? Hahaha. :-) Best regards, Andrey

:) I totally agree. I was just trying to “decode” what he says.

I kinda understand what he means.

For instance, the “This week’s stats” panel in Author Dashboard page and also the “Popular files” page reset themselves Sundays night at 00:00 (Victoria, Australia which is in GMT+10 timezone).

At that time, when it’s Sunday night 00:00 in Australia, in his country for instance in Beirut, Lebanon (which is in GMT+2 timezone), the clock shows Sunday afternoon 16:00

That is why he says he feels like living in the past, because of those 8 hours timezone difference.

This does not explain why it should be “a lot of benefit for authors”... :D

Does he not mean ‘If you can choose to live in another time zone, what would it be?’

Not sure ‘the past’ is a timezone. :S

But did the dollar purchased? That is the question.

I am sorry next time I’ll try and be more straight forward. It seems not everyone is familiar with metaphors or plain English.

I’ll even include a description of my post :)

If a feature doesn’t benefit anyone then it shouldn’t be introduced. Using the previous sentace I can now explain why I wrote that sentace. I ment this feature will make authors lives easier. At least for those that differ 7 or 9 or more hours from envatos timezone.

Still no idea what you are on about.

Perhaps write the explanation in your own language and some kind soul will translate it

But if I am understanding you correctly, an alalogy of which is, if you remove timezones how do you reference a src point.

Example: dave posts at 12.00 AEST am ( australia ) HELLO !

without timestamps and GMT when you read it, what do you want it to say?

Dave will reply in approx 8 hrs time, until such time you are unable to view his comment , because you are in a different time continium lol

There is a difference between setting the timezone of an account and a timestamp.
In other words timezone!=timestamp.

What I am saying is simply the following :
at 4:00 pm 11/11/2013 I check my statement and I find that I have files that were purchased on 12/11/2013. For me this is the future. This is because envato displays time and date based on the Australian timezone!

now because you are Australian, this won’t affect youm but for people like me it will.
I hope I was clear enough!

Love it when your angry, you make sense ;)

Ok so the request would be for envato to sync your ( users/authors ) timezone with Envato systems.

Plus there is a distinct difference between timezones and timestamps, but thats for another day.

Hope you get sorted
