The thing is, you can find short and easy tuts online for free (mostly). But your job is to make something premium. Isn’t there anything more interesting than a just donut (which is basically the default ring object)? Like some more advanced object which will also give you the possibility to teach them more? They are paying for it after all so they expect something cooler I think… Check out this blog for example, my favorite: http://greyscalegorilla.com/blog/category/tutorials/

Hey Agodesa. heh.. I was a little confused when I saw that new avatar and thought you were someone else. :D Anyways, I think the best you can understand about rejection is only if you ask directly from the reviewer since we cannot see the whole tutorial neither do most of us know much about the guidelines of tuts MP.

Yeah, I have send him a message. Thanks for the feedback.

I agree, a donut isn’t really interesting, it’s basically an ellipse.

No, it isn’t just that. But, anyways, I’m thinking to add some introduction to the hole render thing and texturize it.

+1 :)

Also ask your reviewer if that would get your item accepted, just to make sure.

Yes, I did it! But you know how they delay on email support sometimes. And thanks for the feedback!

Maybe if you went over texturing and lighting it you might be on your way. You could also try something like adding sprinkles or how to create different types of donuts (jelly filled, cinnamon twists, etc).

Hi there

Here are some useful tips:

  • Decide on a tutorial topic which can help users like a “life-saver” in their next project.
  • Just useful tips doesn’t make a complete premium tutorial. You will need to make an item and describe its construction from scratch, along with it’s scope in future projects.
  • Think which techniques are very important, not easily available for free on internet, but users are dying to grab those tips. Include such techniques in your tutorial.
  • If your tutorial is less worthy for a premium tutorial, you can ask reviewers for a suggestion to put that tutorial on tuts+ network. (You will still need to put something extra for that).

Great advice that could really apply to any stock content, not just tuts.

+1 to that.

And it doesn’t look so delicious as you said, you MUST put texture on it… This way it looks like its from plastic.
