Since I first found Envato I have met some great people and grabbed some bargains which have helped me not only to save time and money but to learn a few new things too.
I’ve asked a few stupid questions in the Forums and had great, plain English replies which I thank you all for. I’m never made to feel as thick as I truly am (!!) and there’s a real community going on in the forum. (If you haven’t tried it, give it a click).
I just want to say a big Thank You to everyone at Envato and all of the great designers on Envato, it’s a fantastic opportunity that Envato have given us all to not only get our names out there but to earn some $ and, perhaps most importantly, meet designers and help each other out.
Seeing as it looks like I’m ass-kissing anyway, let me jump to Envato’s defence and say that those people who whinge: “I put $20 in but only spent $12” I’d say ‘Take a look around and find such great products for $12’ Jeez!
If you’re that skint you cant afford to spend $12 on a pro theme then what sort of website are you expecting to have? $12 is about 100 times less than any web designer would charge for similar and about 20% of what most template stores charge. If you’re that bothered about your floating $8 go spend it on GraphicRiver.
