Anyway just a quick post to see if you have any thoughts or suggestions?
Another one for the bin
Not too bad. I think that if you convert it to HTML you will get approved. For a PSD category it is too plain. Try and add more details, texturize it a bit etc.
You don’t have a design in your mind. Just copy somewhere and paste into your theme , right? Sorry if I wrong but I said it because I see your theme have many different parts.
also you need to improve the typography . the highlight color.
You don’t know about padding and margin , you use padding and margin without any rules!!!
a better suggestions is : “do you happy to use this theme to your site?” or choose one of themes in ThemeForest?
If not , you must improve until you get happy with the theme
No the reason why I submitted it was because I got the following comments in the design below…
There are a few unique touch with this template, especially the presentation for skills, tweets and team. They look good as individual elements. But when you put them together, they simply failed to work well with each others. It looks repetitive and the entire flow is corrupted.
Also, you overuse the circle shapes, really. I think you have a good sense in placing elements or managing the consistency of spacing, because the template did look tidy and organised. But the overall design look plain. Being consistent is good, but, over consistent will make it looks boring. you still have to use one or two key elements to draw attentions.
I just wanted to test the other way round where its more varied.

It’ll need more polish but it looks good.
I think its a really solid start. As Ivor says, just polish it up – maybe 1-2 days of work and it could be a top selling item
I think martom.jpg is a good improved version, but it still looks like a sketch. Give it more detail, better proportions, in the end it has to be one solid design. Put the site in a container and bring in a textured background, maybe thats the first step to tune it up… The main part is square but in the content you use circles A LOT , that looks a bit weird to me. Bring in more squared elements and less circles i would say… And use cool fonts
Good luck!
Steve
Well i must say many thanks, to be honest I wasn’t expecting such a reaction as I usually get one comment which isn’t very helpful!
Like I mentioned my previous design got rejected for being too consistant so I thought I would just put something together with different element.
I might have a go at finishing it off.
Many thanks again!
