Why dont you design your own d?
Well best advice I can give you with that is you MUST know what you want. Not how it looks but what are the features you want. I suggest a brainstorming about what that “d” should say, what’s the message, how to make it say that, and ultimately how to connect that with the graphical elements of the “d”.

If it ’s only one letter and you know what you want why not to try to draw it? Or just list many D from different fonts (for example from dafont) to see what you almost like and then adjust it with drawing as needed.
