Hey crozer, the Guatemala holes are pretty impressive: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/06/photogalleries/100601-sinkhole-in-guatemala-2010-pictures-world/#guatemala-city-sinkhole-2010-aerial-close_21124_600×450.jpgThat is one of the craziest stories and events I have ever seen! I remember first seeing that hole on the news and thought at first it was some trailer for a new movie or something. Crazy!!it looks totally fake, really wierd.
you could maybe try and take screengrabs from some movies if you’re allowed to use them?
Hi, its not fake at all. I live two blocks away from that hole and I was there when it happened. It produced a little earthquake and all the lights went down.
Me and my brother were the first ones to go near it. Believe me, it was the must impressive and terrible thing I ever seen. Its 60. wide and 100m down, aprox.
Try getting screenshots from here: http://googlesightseeing.com/
I have no idea if you can use google maps stuff for previews.
btw, that hole, it was formed in seconds? Witnesses must have went, wtf!

Yes, it was a matter of seconds. One house went completely down, but there was no one inside.
Two persons died. A taxy driver who stopped right there to make a phone call on a public telephone and had bad luck, and a security guard also went down there.
The bodies appeared 2 milles from there in a river, because inside that whole is and underground river, thats what caused the openning of the hole.

It’s a vehement story! Something similar happened in Germany a while ago.

I thought that only happened here in Guatemala. How was that?

I thought nobody died, luckily. The hole was ‘just on the right place’, not underneath a house or something: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-11668012 .

Yeah, thats luck. Can you beleive that the persons who worked at the house that went down in the sinkhole in Guatemala had just left 15 minutes before that happened…

Aerial views in bird’s view?
All you have to do is go to Bing Maps (the search engine from Microsoft) type there a city’s name and then click on the “bird’s view” button.. You can even change the view direction (from the North, South, West, East.)
Examples:
London:Click here
New York: Click here
Golden Gate in San Francisco Click here
Some cities have no bird’s view photos… but big known cites do. Have fun with it.
