Normally if you want your company to provide quality, you hire how many reviewers it’s needed to do all this work…

there is no shortage of good items so there is no point for the company to invest money to help you build a better item if you don’t know how to do it. (actually not entirely true, they invested quite a lot of money in this but you don’t know where to look – read bellow) :)

it looks that you are new author (correct me if I’m wrong)

The review process is something like this.

- the item needs to much improvements to be listed by the reviewer. -> hard reject and default message

- the item looks promising and will probably be approved but have some issues that needs to be resolved -> hard reject AND they will inform you about the issue they found. ( for example a code bug in an wordpress theme)

- the item is quite perfect for the marketplace but you messed up the tags or the preview image or other small issues -> soft reject (item is hidden for now but is like 99% approved) they inform you about the issue, you fix it and the item is on sale.

it looks like you are at first stage.

what you can do:

create a thread in Item discussion tab and ask for feedback. Forum members will help you pinpoint the issues with your items.

read tutorials. this network: http://hub.tutsplus.com/ will help you get better at whatever item type you want to upload on the marketplace. So yes, why the reviewer should send you a private message when you have an entire knowledge database that you can access whenever you want.
