When they switched I just don’t digg it anymore. There not articles its a big promotion. I used to learn some quick tips on jquery or learn why the number one theme is selling good.
Anyone else feel this way?

Sure, I don’t read it any more, there isn’t much content as was in previous blog… But on http://net.tutsplus.com/ there is always a great stuff, jeffrey’s screencasts etc just rocks
And I think we should finally give up on the old blog topic, it’s really not happening …
I am also looking forward to those new community features, anybody got an update on that?

Really miss some of the old AD blog stuff like Down The Foxhole, Files of the Week, Author Salute, etc. I also miss the ability to comment on a blog post.

Yup I think we all universally agree that the new tumblr is just a waste of space and effort – nothing to do with the person handling it – it’s just useless – they already use twitter for the same stuff so why even bother.
I really really miss the blog – it was awesome especially the weekly review thingy was stunning – I caught up on everything in one read per week – still don’t understand how that could of been more expensive to run than someone simply posting links to stuff….
Ah well it will never return – that has been said.
Same here, used to be good stuff. Not any more.

+1
Yeah me too… I think I click on the blog link once a week now, if that. I find it frustrating because the new design/setup they had going right after the marketplace re-design was awesome! I am not going to bash what they have now, I just simply like the old way better. And from what I can see many others feel the same.
I don’t think that. I like to read it, I found interesting and useful articles.

Was looking forward to writing loads of articles for the activeden blog
And I loved reading all the posts
I know, I’m pretty disappointed that they switched to the tumblog style. I mean, it has some good stuff, but all of the original content on the other blog really can’t be made up by promotion of themes and clientsfromhell quotes.
Why not keep them both and let people check them both out?
