Al little offtopic but this could fix it:

text-shadow:-1px -1px 0px rgba(0,0,0,1); //doubles the font
text-shadow:-1px -1px 0px #000; //doubles the font
text-shadow:-1px -1px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.99); //expected behavior
