@duotive I am not entirely sure who you are talking about, but I am sure it is not me. The theme I am talking about is not yours but someone elses. So before I continue with my reaction I want to make sure you are talking to the right person.

Al little offtopic but this could fix it:

text-shadow:-1px -1px 0px rgba(0,0,0,1); //doubles the font
text-shadow:-1px -1px 0px #000; //doubles the font
text-shadow:-1px -1px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.99); //expected behavior
