Hi there!

I’ve spent six months developing a framework which can be used for building WordPress sites, though primarily focused on Theme Development!. I’m planning on releasing it Open Source, and I’d love to take on board any advice and/or contribution from anyone who could potentially be interested.

After reading the latest TF Submission Guidelines it seems that this has come at a good time to release this to the public, and I’d love for my work to be used to power your sites!

Here is a link to the repo. If enough people are interested in me doing so, I will document it, and if you contact me (feel free to add me on Skype – joe_mckie) I can give you access to a site that is running on it.

Thanks!

This looks very promising, however a little tutorial on getting started should be in order.
Framework looks very big and comprehensive, it would take a lot of time for a new framework user to tackle it on it’s own.

Definitely! I was only going to document it all if I got a decent reception from it as it’s a mammoth task honestly, but the feedback so far has been brilliant so I’ll definitely get to writing up a wiki!

Interesting stuff. I know it’s not finished but it is still a huge achievement, well done. A quickstart and some screen shots be nice. I mean, do we child theme it like Genesis, hack it like underscores or bones. To be honest I am not entirely sure what the difference between a framework and a starter theme is.
