Hey.

Got a question about copyrights and commercial/personal.

I understand the difference between personal and commercial. Now, what I don’t quite understand is;

As example: If I put up a website on CodeCanyon, does this mean that I am creating a commercial site (as I do receive money for it) or does that mean that I am creating a personal site (as the people who buy the script don’t use it commercially).

Probably one of the most un logical questions ever :P

Edit: auto correct ftw. I stuck with copyright I guess. Lmao

I’m not a lawyer and this is my personal opinion. Yes anything that is placed on the marketplace here is “commercial”. If a particular script or photo prohibits commercial use then you cannot use it (without some sort of agreement with the original creator).

Generally with these things it’s best to shoot an email off to the script/photo/etc.. creator and ask what is required to use their creation in work here.

Best of luck!

Thanks.

Mind answering my second question as well :P?

If I’m putting a site on sale (so commercial), am I allowed to use youtube embedding?
