First of all, hey everyone!

Alright so here it goes… I need someone who can make this app. Let’s give an example, let’s say you have your phone next to your pc, laptop, tablet, potato [tho i don’t think it will work with a potato] etc… and you listen to loud music and you are not in the room, this app should make the overall volume of the song to go down to let’s say 25% [this percentage should be editable] so you can hear your phone ringing. This can be done i think via a microphone. So anyone who is interested in this project please let me know via an e-mail.

Thanks!
-Michael

How would it know you’re not in the room?

That doesn’t matter… if you are or not :)

I thought that was the whole point of it though? I.e. you listen to your music loud and then the volume goes down when you leave the room… so you can hear your phone when you’re out of the room?

If it reduces the volume by 25% whether you’re out of the room or in the room, then why not just play the song at 75% in the first place, and remove the need for an app altogether?

Maybe I’m missing something… sorry.

So how should it know when to lower the volume?

Right, hold on… I think I’ve got it. It reduces the volume only when the phone rings? Ok, sorry. I see what you’re saying now. Personally, I’d take my phone with me if I left a room, but you could be on to something. You never know. Good luck!

I can ask one of our mobile guys but I think it will depend massively on the ability to wirelessly sync your PC and mobile so it probably depends 100% on what computer and what phone you are talking about.

It really doesn’t matter if you are in the same room or not mate, maybe you have something to do somewhere else and don’t want to lower the volume yourself. Let’s say you play the song loud because you want to heart it from another room and don’t want to carry your phone or forget to do so. That’s what i’m trying to say here :)

I think it could be done via a mic + router. Alright let me know what you find out :)

I think if you are listening to music from a docked device and a call comes then you can hear that instead of the music. Problem solved? :)
