A few weeks ago maybe 3 or 4 i bought a wordpress plugin.

But i simply could not make it to work. I’ve contacted the author a lot of times requesting support. Made contact thru email provided and also on the codecanion comments item page.(If the page would be available now those comments/requests for support could be noticed) Never, ever got a reply from the author. Nothing, ever.

It's like this guy had vanished from earth.

Now the plugin was removed and once again I’ve lost my money.

This is the second time this happens to me.

Now i can say with all my conviction that ENVATO is a bad place to buy anything.I dont recommend this marketplace to anyone.

First of all let me say that i fully understand your frustration. Things like this should never happen, no question about that.

Unfortunately the reality is that the envato team cant check everything and some problems occur over time, e.g. the plugin was developed for a certain wordpress version, but 5 versions later it doesnt work anymore and if the author does not update the item, well then it wont work ever anymore.

Fortunately it is like in every other store, if you purchase something that does not work you can request a refund. If you contact the envato support team and the plugin does in fact not work im sure you will get your money back.

That being said, judging from your buyers badge you purchased at least 50 items, if two of them did not work (and again, im totally with you, that should never happen) you probably still got an incredible price for 48 great items, i wouldnt say this makes the marketplace a bad place, especially if you can get a refund for the two bad items.

Hey Rafael,

I’m sorry to hear about your bad experience but that doesn’t mean it is all bad. From the looks of your badge you have bought between 50-99 items, and you claim only two were bad. This means over 96% of your purchases were decent. I know that doesn’t solve the issue, but I’m just showing the bright side. Have you contacted envato support and explained your situation? I’m sure they can assist you further in the matter. Good luck!

Hey there RafaelMota! Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Maybe the plugin has been removed by Envato because it was faulty in the first place. If the plugin was defective/broken and you could not make it work, you can simply contact support and receive a refund! :)

Send support a ticket and allow up to 7-10 days for them to reply. Also, you can contact them on Twitter with your support ticket number here!

My last situation was the same and Envato did’t helped a lot.

I did made 48 good deals for 48 single licenses.

This particular ENVATO policys of “let’s publish a faulty plugin”, “let’s remove the plugin not saying a word to everyone that bought it”, “let’s make the buyers have to send us an email if they think they’r eligeble for a possible refund”....all of this…..I dont have time for this.

Sorry, it’s not for me. I think that Envato should be doing some custoumer surveys. That’s what’s been missing….

And sorry for my bad english also.

Off course they don’t approve on purpose faulty items. Some of the items are too complex to be extensively checked for all the environments they will be possible used. For this, when you have a problem you can contact envato support and they will verify that precise issue and if is true, they will give a refund.

you are right when you say that you should be contacted if the plugin was faulty and was removed from the marketplace for that particular reason. Practically any time envato removes an item for technical reasons or copyright infringements should inform the buyers of that item of the reason why that item was removed.

Don’t apply you experience with some items or authors to everyone. As it was said you purchased a certain number of items and you didn’t had problems with them. Why assume all the rest of the items are bad based on one or two items that may or may not be faulty?

In this cases, I think you have the right to be refunded. Ask support and open a ticket.

After you have submitted your support ticket you should use Envato Support on Twitter eg:. @envato_support I need help regarding a purchase #your ticket id.

You must mention your ticket ID so that they will be able to track your query faster.

I’ve never done that. Never said a word about the authors in general.My issue is with this Envato policys regarding this particular situation. The author doesn’t reply to buyer never? The plugin is bad? Let’s remove it quietly. Let’s make the buyer have to proove what Envato knows or should be knewing? And of course i can judge ENVATO about everything. I’m a buyer ! And for that reason i do have other markets to buy from…

Funny, the authors should be supporting me on this…
