I guess the best solution will be uploading AE and C4D each in their own category at the same time.

Who don’t need C4D , will buy only AE template. Others, who need C4D + AE will buy template from Cinema4D section (where price will be higher on 10$ for example).

No, please don’t do this. If you have questions as to what queue to upload to, please contact support first.

This comment was in relation to selling the same project as an Apple Motion and an After Effects project, not C4D /AE/Bonus content.

I asked him exactly about C4D . Also i provided a link on my last project where is clearly visible that I’m talking about bonus C4D .

EDIT : OK. If this isn’t allowed. What should we do then ? Just put bonus files and be quiet? How clients will know, that there is also a bonus files inside a package? What’s the point in that?

Then it’s better to restrict C4D bonus files at all. To avoid such disputes.

I would let the creator advertise the extra bonus models, but just make sure they add a disclaimer indicating the bonus content is not reviewed by VideoHive’s quality standards.

If I upload a AE project file to the Cinema 4d section, we’d be allowed to advertise correct? Strange it can’t work both ways.

Or, would we be allowed to include a link to our website that has detailed information (that shows the 3d models)? Really wish I could have shown people the C4D models I made in my latest kit… I think it was a major strong point, but I didn’t want to charge people for the models, thus I uploaded to the AE project file list. A way of saying ‘here are some bad ass goodies, take it, all yours.’

But man it feels so weird to me knowing people will be looking at the product page not having the slightest clue there are some cool C4D stuff jammed in there for free, that I can’t even post a picture showing.

I’m not complaining, I just hope this idea that we can’t at least include an image of bonus content gets reconsidered.

Regarding the upload to two different categories, here’s a reply I got from Mark (Envato Support Center) few weeks ago:

We do allow authors to upload two versions of a similar project in two different categories. So for example, you could upload your fully customization version in the C4D section, and then the prerendered version in the AE section. But keep in mind that we’ll only accept the additional C4D version when it makes sense. If the object that is being prerendered could easily be created in AE alone, we’ll ask that you submit to the After Effects category only. But if the rendered elements are complex and really require C4D , you could upload two versions of the same project into both categories, allowing buyers to pick the version that they’d need the most.

However, if that’s not allowed to advertise that I included additional file in main zip file (like C4D or all PSD layers and not just simply merged JPEG files), well, sorry, that does not make any sense to me. Ok, I understand, that this “advertisement” shouldn’t be super loud or big bold text that takes up all screen, but just a little note in description and preview video that says that there are bonus stuff included.

Why not? Regarding reviewing? Well, that’s the problem on Envato end. If that’s still an issue, then AlienOutput suggested a good idea to put a disclaimer, that bonus materials were not examined by reviewer or some sort of that. Or better yes get more reviewers:) I’d like to join in:)

Cheers.
