This thread is intended to invite discussion about ways to improve the circulation of money in such a way that encourages buyers to buy more items, authors to improve the quality of their work, add value to the marketplace, and referrers to enjoy increasing and lasting rewards for bringing new members to the Envato marketplaces.

I have a system that can accomplish just that and I’ll provide an explanation on how it works:

In a nutshell, it’s a buyer-oriented expansion to the referral system that allows multiple cuts per referral beyond the first one. The amount of money the referrer has used to buy things on the market will determine how many extra cuts per referral that person can enjoy.

Another incentive for buyers to increase the flow of money is to receive “High-value” bonuses every time they purchase something with an extended license. A High-value Bonus is an extra 50% value placed on top of the Base Value, the actual amount of money a buyer has used.

This can be worked into a simple formula:

Base Value + High-value Bonuses = How many extra cuts per referral a buyer can enjoy beyond the first.

So, not only can buyers earn extra money from referrals, they can use their own earnings to purchase more items and reinvest it back into the marketplace while also receiving the items that they bought with their own referral cuts.

Authors would enjoy increased frequency and value of sales in their portfolios. Not only that, but they too can buy items to participate in the referral rewards system as well.

With more buyers and authors being referred to Envato under this system, the flow of money will become stronger and faster.

Do you mean an increased percentage commission fro people that I refer and/or commission from their second/third/fourth etc purchases?

I can;t see that making much difference to be honest. Hundreds have clicked my referral link, one has signed up and none have bought anything. Doubling my commission on $0 isnt going to inspire me to do much unfortunately. Yes, I might have terrible referral stats in comparison to everyone else, but surely there must be some way to improve sales where buyers will actually get some kind of benefit from this new scheme?

Sorry to be all negative, just the way i see it. Even an Envato t-shirt after spending $1000 would be better than nothing!

I mean an increased number of cuts per referral after the first one. Every cut is still at 30% but it can happen several times in succession.
