I never been aware that ie6 compatibility was required here. but, like what CreativeStable said:
I generally make things readable and “work” in ie6, but not concerned about pixel-perfect design
check out Tyler’s bit of pithy commentary for users of IE6 , at the bottom of the page.
and try to save IE6 – or else we’ll be missing some fun.
Hi, if you are coming to this site via Internet Explorer 6, you might not be getting the best experience possible. Honestly, I can’t even begin to think about what your entire experience on the internet must be like? (...probably like riding a bike on the highway while cars blow by you on their way to Costco to get gallons of mayonnaise and 60-inch plasma TV’s). How will you ever be able to use this website?? You wont. You’re an asshole and your browser is an asshole. So look, I’m going to be honest: I kind of hate you. BUT we c-a-n make this work. Here is what I am going to need you to do: fire up your Toshiba ShitBook© that weighs about 45 pounds, wipe the Cheeto dust off the screen, download Safari, delete Internet Explorer from your computer, punch yourself in the face, and get me a pulled pork sandwich.
Hahahahaha nice text!!!
This is great news! But I will keep supporting IE ;(
Nice! very good gift for us..:)))))) Thanks a lot.
I am glad IE6 validation is no longer a must but I still consider we should do our best to make our sites display nice for IE6 users.
The sad thing is that even though IE 6 is finally, slowly, dying and people are upgrading their browsers – the next IE 6 is IE 7 . And, most IE users are upgrading to IE7 (at least a lot of the IE 6 users). As the current major browsers continue to advance, IE 7 will just become as big of a problem as IE 6 was.
The really sad thing is that I’ll probably be married and have kids before we drop support for IE 7 , lol (I expect kids in about 8 years). Just think, I’ll probably be nearing or passing my 40’s by the time we drop IE 8 (possibly even older). At this point, I can only dream of an IE-less world by the time I’m “over the hill”, lol.
FINALLY ! We are in one step closer to make life better
OMG ! finally thank you.
IE6 is the worst offender of standards compliance. same goes for outlook.
Thank you envato.
P.s – take a look at these, hilarious
That’s so true! Has any one ever had the problem of reapeating PNG semi transparent graphics in IE7 – IE7 does not like it if there is any JS on the page. It just can’t cope – lol
Take a moment to think about a world where everyone uses FireFox….....
