So I have this website that looks great in all major browsers as well as IE9 , even IE7 renders it correctly with only minor bugs, my question is why would it look Like a train wreck in IE8 I mean if IE7 can render it why can’t IE8 ?
IE8 is wors than IE7 . I had some similar problems a few while ago when testing websites. You will have headaches trying to understand how IE is working
With IE9 thing are a little better.
yes I’m so confused right now, the website I’m building looks fine in IE7 , and IE9 , I tested IE8 using IETester and its a messed, I tried using Microsoft SuperPreview 4 and it looks fine, then went to do some browser shots in (website I forgot) looks fine, and it also looks fine in Adobe Browser labs, could it be that there’s something wrong with IETester and not my site?
because crap like that i hate Bill…
This is usual with IE. I don’t know if Bill Gates should be blamed for this but I see similar issues on each work. At same stage you will realise you are doing 3 different code for IE only (7, 8, 9). This is what happens when big corporations manages reach people but can’t maintain standards and needed improvements.
Anyway, I hope you will arrive some solution with abnormal tricks; try asking specific questions on stackoverflow.com and you may get sorted out issues.

is there a consolidated list of IE7 , IE8, and IE9 differences?
what works in one and not in the other? seems to me something like this would be useful.
and why not include all of the major browsers (FF and Chrome) in the list?
I use XP here and IE8 and lots of tutorials on nettuts do not work on IE8 , as well smashingmagazine.com looks crappy.
and no I am not about to get a new PC and upgrade to IE9 /IE10, I do use Chrome for a lot of what I do
p.s. this is being sent using the Chrome browser
looks like the IE6 nightmare its only going to be lived with IE7 and IE8 now
I think something wrong with ie Tester.
