Is there a ‘seasoned’ Illustrator here who would have the time and inclination to answer a few of my newbie questions for which i can’t find answers?
1. When an AI file is saved as an EPS , (or other format) and it has a texture in the form of a clipping mask linked to an imported linked jpeg image, how do i extract just the clipped shape from the linked jpeg so it doesn’t save the whole jpeg? 2. Does the clipped shape have to be ‘live traced’ into a vector before saving? 3. Is there a way of cropping a jpeg while it is in Illustrator?
Once i am clear on these answers, a whole lot of other questions will be easy to understand!!
