Hello,
My 5 years old Mac’s finally dead
so I’m thinking about new one.
Should I go with mbp 15 inch? or get new iMac?
I’ve never use iMac before, I’m wondering if it’s larger screen will help you work more comfortable? Or others?
Thanks for your opinion

Why? I’m curious. – I own a 21.5’’ and I’m very happy with it.
Well, I have an i5 27 iMac, a 15 inch MacBook Pro and a 13 inch MacBook Pro. IF I could only choose 1 it would be the iMac, it is a pleasure doing everything with this machine!

I’d say it’s all down to price. Obviously a Macbook Pro + an External Display would give you the power + mobility. BUT for the price, the iMac beats the Macbook pro.
I am rocking the Macbook Pro w/ 27inch Apple Cinema Display. If you can afford it, it’s a hard combination to beat.
I agree with 360 the quad core i5 imac is the sweet spot i think. Such a pleasure to use. Turn it on 30 secs later its ready to go.
It really depends on whether you want the mobility though, because obviously a 27 inch imac isnt the easiest thing to lug around!
In these days, I think a notebook is a “must”, so first: macbooc pro, and second: if you have enought money, the best kit: imac and macbook pro. I am one of those who choose iMac for performance issue. But currently I work with macbook pro. I think I will soon use both.
good luck for them!
