Images in theme preview

Last time I asked what images can I use in a theme for sample posts or in sliders. I know about the Asset Library now but for example if it’s a theme for videos can I use images from movies? I have little experience with commercial use projects.

I believe if my memory serves me right that you are allowed to use any images in the live preview but not have those images within the file download. You’ll have to replace those with image placeholders.

I think you can use any images licensed for commercial use in the live preview. Some also have an appendage stating “You can’t redistribute this” which would mean you can’t include it in the final package.
