Hi, everyone!

I have a (maybe) stupid question:

I would like to use other images / illustrations that are not from the Asset Library to be displayed on the live preview of a template I am working on, like on these files:

http://themeforest.net/item/discovery-wordpress/83792

or

http://themeforest.net/item/magnifizine-a-magazine-business-wordpress-theme/81920

I presume that, like Envato’s marketplace screenshots, I cannot include those images on the main files for download, but do I need any license or something to use, let’s say a movie poster, on the live preview of my template?

I’ve searched the forums but didn’t found anything specifically about this subject.

Thanks!!

I think that you can use pictures in the live demo and remove them from ZIP the file that will be downloaded. Check the licence for each picture, now it’s possible on flickr to search photos under CC.

I’ve searched on Flickr but didn’t find any interesting graphics under CC…

Anyone else have any idea where I can find nice graphics to use on a live preview, like people use here on theme forest?

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I’ve tried…

But can’t find images like, just to name one example, the images used on this template:

But thanks a lot @Keliah

That is exactly what I am doing. I am including (stock) images in the live preview/demo, but I am removing them and adding dummy images to the downloaded files.

Just a tip for help with easy dummy image generation.
