When using the plugin and having at the same time a wordpress theme that uses the library we get a fatal error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Envato_Protected_API ... class-envato-protected-api.php on line 13
because there are no check if the the class exists, so this could be a problem if a user has the plugin and downloads a theme which uses the library.

Hi there, yes this project is being actively maintained. If you’re looking on the Git repo, you should notice the last changes pushed were actually only a month ago.
More bug fixes are on the way. Mainly around compatibility.
